The golf course has been lucky enough to be awarded two tree packs from the Woodland Trust comprising over 800 native trees. The trees have been planted on the golf course by children from 4 local primary schools, all of whom greatly enjoyed their planting days. The area the trees were planted was on a large section of long rough which was previously cut back each year and would take approximately 1 day using a tractor and flail. Now the trees have been planted the area no longer needs cutting back annually providing significant cost savings and promoting biodiversity on site.
