Travel tender criteria - EAUC Member responses

Julia Jack at the University of Exeter wanted to know about Members’ experience on any measurable mandatory tender criteria for building contractors regarding travel to and from university site with respect to health or carbon emissions concerns:

“I have been asked by one of my colleagues to put together some measurable mandatory tender criteria regarding travel to and from our site for a building contractor. His priority is health concerns as he is concerned about builders driving long distances every day. Obviously from my point of view I would like the builders not to be travelling long distances because of the resulting carbon emissions. Has anyone done anything similar before? Have you got an example you can share with me?”

Julia herself shared a document on tender requirements from Haringey Council (available for downloading). There were a couple of responses from Councils too.
