Over the last decade the higher education sector has demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainable development, aligning with global efforts to combat climate change by reducing emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.
This reports gives an overview some of the trends in carbon emissions and carbon performance of UK higher education institutions. Furthermore it looks at a number of ways to develop a carbon management programme and how to go about achieving the 2020 carbon reduction targets.
