Why not take part in Earth Hour 2012?
19th March 2012
This year, the EAUC is encouraging all its Members to support the WWF's Earth Hour 2012.
Earth Hour is a simple message with a big punch. It started in one city but is now a global phenomenon - last year millions of people from 138 countries got involved by switching off their lights for one hour to show their concern for the natural world. .. Why not take part in Earth Hour 2012? Find out more at

Earth Hour isn’t about saving an hour’s electricity. It’s much bigger. It’s about people coming together to put the focus on this brilliant world we all share – and how we need to protect it. Not just for an hour a year, but every day. Earth Hour is a way for everyone, no matter who they are or what they do, to be involved and make a difference. Climate change, habitat loss and species loss are all huge issues that can sometimes appear to be out of our hands. But Earth Hour allows everyone, all over the world, to take part in one small act with big results.
There are many ways in which you can get involved with WWF’s Earth Hour. You could join a locally organised event or enjoy the hour with friends and family; how about a candlelit supper? We have recipes available on our website. Maybe a torch lit walk? Or even a bit of stargazing. Check out our website to find out what you can do

Whatever you do Earth Hour is a celebration and always a night to remember. Earth Hour proves we care about our wonderful planet not just for this one hour but for future generations to come.
Our world is brilliant - help keep it that way!
