University of Glasgow become first UK university to be fossil free

EAUC Member, University of Glasgow have become the first academic insitution in the UK to divest from fossil fuels.
The Glasgow University Climate Action Society led campaign started 12 months ago and has reportedly, involved over 1,300 students. The divestment of £18m from the fossil fuel industry and the freezing of new investments across its entire endowment of £128m, was decided after the university went to court on Wednesday 8 October.
