University of Cambridge publishes its first Environmental Sustainability Report

3rd July 2017

The University of Cambridge has published its first Environmental Sustainability Report. The report, titled 'Environmental Sustainability Report', details the university's progress towards meeting the goals set out in the University’s Environmental Sustainability, Vision, Policy and Strategy.

Divided into nine areas, including energy and carbon, water, and waste management, the report details the successes achieved in 2015/16, case studies of sustainability initiatives, and descriptions of the areas where they can and intend to do better.

It will take a number of years for the university to achieve all of its sustainability goals but as this report demonstrates, a good start  has certainly been made with plenty of positive news to share.
