Shortlist revealed for Guardian university awards 2015

With the Guardian University Awards ceremony set to take place in London tomorrow night, we offer an overview of some of the shortlisted entries across the 14 categories.
The awards look to highlight best practice and offer universities the opportunity to showcase their inspiring projects and innovations. This includes in areas such as employability, entrepreneurship, research and teaching excellence.
Four new categories have been introduced for 2015. A number of our educational members have been nominated for sustainability and community impact categories like the Sustainability Project and Social and Community Impact initiative.
Kingston University, University of Manchester and University of Nottingham are on the sustainability project shortlist. This award is presented to the higher education institution that creates sustainable living and a lasting environmental legacy at the university. The social and community impact award will be delivered to a university initiative that has significantly benefitted a range of people in the local community. Those shortlisted are Plymouth University, University of Manchester and University of Nottingham.
