The EAUC is delighted to announce the launch date for this year’s Green Gown Awards. The countdown is on... we open for Stage 1 applications on Wednesday 1 May 2013! This is your chance to shine and to shout about your sustainability achievements! Allow plenty of time and start thinking about your entry now.
Now in their 9th year, the Green Gown Awards recognise the exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities, colleges and the learning and skills sector across the UK. With sustainability moving up the agenda, the Awards have become established as the most prestigious recognition of best practice within the tertiary education sector.
Now is the time to start planning your entry to ensure you have all of the relevant information, obtain your evidence and data, get leadership buy-in and really ensure your entry communicates the value of your project or initiative. Often entries are rushed so make sure you take the time to make sure your entry stands out from the crowd! Make sure you head over to the Sustainability Exchange to view all the videos and case studies from our 2011 and 2012 winners, highly commended entries and finalists. There are some fantastic examples here so let them inspire you!
Take a look at the 2013 categories and see where you think your project or initiative could be a winner. If you're not sure, give us a call and we can advise you. Don't forget, the Green Gown Awards are free to enter and there's no limit to the number of entries you can make.
