Green Impact changed 4000 behaviours
Green Impact changed 4000 behaviours
26th August 2010
At the end of the first year of Green Impact, 22 Universities, 323 departments and over 15,000 people got involved in the programme which has resulted in over 4000 changes being made to staff behaviour and practices. Over 300 students were also involved - being trained as environmental auditors for the project which helped support the staff teams but also gave them new skills and practical experience in the environmental field. Awards ceremonies are being held at each institution to celebrate and recognise these achievements.
We're now in the process of rolling out year two or the programme with more universities taking part as well as two FE colleges. Green Impact is also part of the UCCCfS's Behavioural Change Programme pilot, so Scottish institutions will have the opportunity to get involved. We've extended the deadline for participants, so if you're interested, please contact Charlotte Bonner at
