Lucideon announces ISO 50001 awareness course
4th February 2013
Gold EAUC Company Member, Lucideon, the international provider of sustainability assurance and management systems certification and training, has added two new courses around energy management to its portfolio. As a key provider of ISO50001 certification and the UK and Ireland's leading EU ETS verification body, Lucideon adds extensive experience of energy use to its already experienced management systems knowledge.
The one-day ‘Energy Management Systems and ISO 50001 Awareness Course’ will run on 7 March at Lucideon’s headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent. Aimed at any company that is considering whether to have an Energy Management System (EnMS), the course will give an overview of ISO 50001, discuss why an effective EnMS is so important and give delegates all the information they need to decide whether an EnMS is right for their business.
The course will be delivered through a mixture of presentations, discussions, case studies and films, with a comprehensive Q&A session ensuring that all delegates leave with their questions answered.
Tim Watts, Operations Manager at Lucideon, will be delivering part of the course. He says:
“Although ISO 50001, the global EnMS standard, was introduced in 2011, there are still many organisations that are unsure whether having an EnMS will benefit their business. The course aims to take the mystery out of ISO 50001 by sharing our experience of energy management and discussing the pros and cons of implementing such a system.
“Our courses are held centrally at our offices in Stoke-on-Trent but we also hold courses at clients’ sites, should this be more convenient for them.”
Lucideon is also running an Implementation Course on 15-16 April for those organisations that have already chosen to have an energy management system but who need help to create or improve upon it.
