Barbara Aitken, Environmental Officer at the University of St Andrews sent an email to the Educational Members' Network asking whether certain unusable products are still considered to be WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive):
“Can anyone clarify as to whether accessories such as power leads, video and ethernet cables, which are not themselves a useable product, are considered to be WEEE.”
