The University of Abertay has revolutionised the way it thinks about education by embracing a whole-institutional approach to ESD. Its vision is to create a distinctive Abertay student learning experience that has the potential to transform its students’ lives and isrecognized globally, while in doing so, committing ‘to making sustainability integral’ to that experience. It is a policy articulated in the development of the ‘Abertay Attributes’ – Professionalism, Personal and Intellectual, nested within the idea of Active Citizenship. In the session the University of Abertay elaborated on its experience of using ‘Attributes’ in facilitating the idea of, ‘thinking globally, acting locally’.
