In 2016, NUS began work on a clothing rental scheme for students' unions - applying the principles of the circular economy.
The process started by conducting research into how students’ unions procure their clothes, what they’re buying, how much they’re spending and what happens to the clothes after they were used by staff or campaigners.
The project hopes to make bespoke clothing reusable, and cut down on a tremendous amount of clothing waste.
Read the results of the research here and ask us more about our circular economy clothing project.
