Palm oil and palm oil derivatives are ubiquitous within food-stuffs, cleaning products, cosmetics and the supply chain of these items. UWE research and student concern has led to a new university policy recognising RSPO certification with the ambition of ensuring catering and cleaning products are certified to RSPO by 2020. In order to drive sector wide engagement UWE students and staff seek partners in FHE, the NUS and sector bodies to drive further sector wide change.
