The White Ribbon Campaign is a global movement, challenging and working to change male attitudes towards gender based violence.
Central to the campaign is the development of positive working relationships and engaging the target male audience by raising awareness on the global scale of this horrific issue.
Having joined the campaign in 2015, Glasgow Kelvin College became the first Further Education institution in Scotland to receive White Ribbon status for its work promoting the elimination of violence against women. The driver was to educate and empower community on this highly stigmatised issue, and support societal and cultural change.
This session was part of Influence, the EAUC’s 2019 Annual Conference. All resources from the day can be found here.
