How to use Template 2 to assess waste composition, location, management practices and contacts
Insert the following information into the numbered columns:
- Column 1 Identify all main types of waste for that area and insert in appropriate row.
- Column 2 Identify source of these wastes e.g. student shop, room number, central stores, canteen, restaurants etc.
- Column 3 Identify collection method e.g. plastic sack, white sack, blue sack, black sack, sharps container, plastic box.
- Column 4 Identify storage containers e.g. wheelie bin, euro bins, compactor skip, open skip, closed skip, Front end loader (FEL), Rear end loader (REL).
- Column 5 Insert recycling/disposal route e.g. incineration, landfill.
- Column 6 Insert appropriate contact within your organisation.
- Column 7 Insert contact name and telephone number of contractor/recycler.
