ACTS, in association with the UK’s Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC) and the Higher Education Environmental Improvement (HEEPI), were proud to launch the FIRST Green Gown Awards Australasia at the 2010 ACTS International Conference in Melbourne on 30 October 2010. ACTS announced the winners in recognition and honour of the excellent work and progress made towards sustainability by universities and TAFEs.

Since their launch, the Awards have continued to grow, and in 2013 saw 18 initiatives, and 14 institutions recognised for their sustainability excellence. Announced at a fabulous dinner and awards ceremony at the scenic WatervieW in Bicentennial Park, Sydney on 26 September 2013, the evening was an extremely positive celebration for institutions undertaking sustainability and showcasing their achievements.
