Since starting at Keele, I have been on a journey to promote sustainability and advocate for the climate movement. From engaging with programmes such as Sustainability Voice Representatives, working to embed sustainability into the curriculum, to being inspired to act for large-scale global action against climate change, I build networks to make change happen.
My involvement and impact with climate action has accelerated over the past year, enabling me to meet inspiring people through involvement in UK and international conferences such as attending the 24th UN Climate Change Conference, leading in local Schools Climate Strikes, and co-hosting an episode of the BBC’s ‘Costing The Earth’ and being a panellist on ‘The Big Questions’.
These activities enabled me to set an example to inspire and empower others to join the climate movement and drive climate action, including through collaboration with fellow members of the UK Youth Climate Coalition to host the UK’s first Local Conference of Youth.
