Webinar: Unpacking the ESD for 2030 Toolkit
26th May 2021 12:00 – 13:00
The “ESD for 2030” roadmap highlights the urgent challenges facing the planet and aims to increase the many ways that education can help build a more just and sustainable world through the implementation of the new “Education for Sustainable Development: Towards achieving the SDGs” (ESD for 2030) framework.
This webinar explores UNESCO’s newly released “ESD for 2030 Toolbox” to unpack its evolving resources to support regional and global stakeholders to develop activities in the five priority action areas: advancing policy; transforming learning environments, building capacities of educators; empowering and mobilizing youth; and accelerating local level action. Discover how your work aligns with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and contributes to the great individual and societal transformation required to address urgent sustainability challenges.
Led by Dr. Kim Smith, Portland Community College sociologist and International Fellow for the US Partnership for ESD, participants will receive an overview of the Toolbox and discuss a variety of options for how to engage in and implement the ESD for 2030 Roadmap.
