Fiona Goodwin, Deputy CEO of EAUC, will share how these awards are helping to shape the future of education for sustainability, and will provide an overview of the Digital Futures category and what judges are looking for.

Hear directly from the 2024 winners of the Digital Futures categories – Professor Matthew Bellgard, Pro Vice-Chancellor Impact and Innovation from University of East London, as they share insights into their award-winning project “Living Lab IoT Platform” that brings together data sets from across our estate to drive net zero research and innovation. They will share their experience of the Green Gown Awards process, and tips for crafting a strong application. Use of AI, data, digital platforms, or systems to improve sustainability outcomes. Lessons Learned and Challenges Overcome.

We’ll also be joined by Cal Innes, Digital Sustainability Specialist, from Jisc, our category sponsor, who will give a brief introduction to Jisc and its mission to support the digital transformation of UK education and research. Cal will be exploring the role of digital innovation and how it can help institution’s to achieving their sustainability goals as well as empowering the sector with data and insights.
