Climate Ambassadors: An introduction for education settings (Virtual)

27th Sep 2024 12:00 – 13:00

To sit alongside the Climate and Nature Action in Education series of regional events, this webinar introduces the Climate Ambassadors scheme to education settings from early years through to further education settings. Education leaders, those with a sustainability remit, and other interested parties are all welcome.

As part of the Department for Education's sustainability and climate change strategy, all education settings are expected to have a climate action plan and a sustainability lead in place by the end of 2025. During the new academic year a number of organisations will be working together to offer a wide range of free support to nursery, school and college leaders to enable them to act on climate and nature.

You'll hear from education settings who've already accessed the support a Climate Ambassador provides, discover what support is available to you and find out how you can get involved. You'll also be introduced to Climate Ambassador partners who provide complementary support for settings. These include the National Education Nature Park, the Sustainability Support for Education service and Let’s Go Zero.

This event is suitable for all education settings including Early Years, Primary, Secondary, SEND, FE and HE and is free to all attendees.  Please note that there is a reference to prices on the registration page but this will be £0.00 upon booking.

This session will be recorded and published afterwards on the Climate Ambassador website where you can also find more information about the scheme and its partners.
