Recently, the consultancy Brite Green published a Carbon Reduction League Table for English universities. Representing our Members, the EAUC entered into dialogue with Brite Green to understand their intentions and question their methodology. The EAUC recognises that the Brite Green League Table did stimulate valuable discussion and debate amongst our Members. This included, absolute versus relative targets, the disconnect between university carbon and commercial strategies, accuracy of publicly available EMR and institutional target data. If this Table is to be produced annually, what could its relationship be to the University League including the EAUC/AUDE/ARUP green scorecard development?

EAUC are now continuing the dialogue and have invited Brite Green to host this EAUC-Member only webinar which will review the key trends in carbon reduction in the sector from 2005 to 2013, showcase examples of good practice and set out the updated Brite Green methodology to analyse the 2013/14 data.
