Outcomes of Education for Sustainable Development

This presentation was given as part of the 'Promoting Meaningful Teaching and Learning' Summit at the EAUC-Scotland Conference 2017, by Jamie Agombar, Head of Sustainability at National Union of Students.

Session Outline

This presentation discusses the potential outcomes of Education for Sustainable Development within Further and Higher Education institutions. Examples are given of what NUS-UK and various institutions are doing in terms of promoting ESD to create students who will be 'responsible citizens'. This presentation emphasises the need to embed ESD in all academic disciplines through meaningful links to the curriculum, and through developing the language around graduate attributes.
