This presentation was given as part of the 'Building Socially Responsible Institutions' Summit at the EAUC-Scotland Conference 2017, by Louise Swift, Public Sector Sales Director at Interface.
Session Outline
This presentation discusses Interface's approach to socially responsibility in the private sector through the Net-Works TM programme, which collects discarded fishing nets from coastal communities (in Cameroon and Philippines) and recycles them into carpet tiles, which will then be sold as a commercial good. The project had to overcome a number of challenges, but has brought both social and environmental benefits throughout the supply chain, as well as given the company a competitive edge.
Please note that the presentation contained a video, which you can find as a downloadable file on the right hand side.
