Cooking oil
Individual institutions may generate 300-400 litres of oil each week.
- Although there may be no payment for used cooking oil at present, some companies do not currently charge for uplift. Contact your local authority, Environment Agency or SEPA for information on collection in your area.
- As from the 1st November 2004 used cooking oils from catering premises can no longer be used for animal feedstock. More information on the legislation can be obtained from Defra
