The Wheeltop Project of Beaumont College of Further Education is using ICT to support the learning and development of physically disabled students. One example is the use of specialised ‘wheelchair PCs. It provides participating students with systems that are customized to their different requirements.
It also acts as a ‘test bed’ for products and applications aimed at people with communication difficulties. The project thus not only promotes inclusion and enhanced learning but also assist the development of better assistive technologies
