These resources are from our second meeting of the health and wellbeing topic support network. This network discusses prevalent issues surrounding health and wellbeing in universities and colleges.

Anxiety is prevalent in the educational sector, both in students and in staff. Most of us know what it is and have probably even experienced it, but less know why it occurs and what support is out there.

This online event hosted on 19th October 2021 aimed to explore how universities and colleges can support people with anxiety through workshops, resources and improving individuals clinical understanding of anxiety.

This recording is aimed at staff with a role in wellbeing. However, anxiety can impact any area of universities or colleges where there are people so may be of interest to anyone in the sector - staff and students.

This video includes:

  • A case study of the 'Wellbeing Recovery Action Plan' (WRAP®) at Dundee and Angus College (2.27)
  • A clinical view of anxiety from a psychotherapist with insight of how they have seen it manifest in a educational setting as a student counsellor (30.08)
  • An example of a 'self help' resource called Togetherall that is accessible 24/7 to both students and staff in registered universities and colleges (1.09.02)

Minutes from the session and individual presentations can also be downloaded from this page.
