Two universities (Leicester & Oxford) share their journeys from BREEAM to Passivhaus via Soft Landings to show you how to create low carbon/low energy buildings that respond to the needs of the people who use them. Leicester showcases the George Davies Building (Centre for Medicine) – currently the largest commercial Passivhaus in the country. Oxford share the policy-change which moved them from BREEAM to focusing on operationally low-carbon buildings and reflect on lessons from their first completed Passivhaus project (Kellogg Hub). This interactive, facilitated workshop will also explore your experiences and you’ll leave with tips and lessons learnt to assist you in creating your own better buildings.
