The 'Financing and Managing Projects for Change' Summit was one of four Summits at the EAUC-Scotland Conference 2017. This Summit was chaired by David Beards from the Scottish Funding Council, and consisted of four presentations and a workshop. The session was sponsored by EcoCooling. You can find the resources from the different presentations linked below.
The Summit workshop asked attendees what different types of funding there are available, and asked them to share their ideas with the group.
Thoughts and considerations included:
Funding sources can be accessed from the Government, e.g. Sustrans and Scottish Funding Council, through Companies and Partnerships, e.g. SHARC Energy, through the Community, i.e. building relationships with pre-existing community groups who might be able to access different funding sources such as the Climate Challenge Fund, and through Energy Performance Contacts, e.g. Centrica, Zero Waste Scotland and Resource Efficient Scotland.
Other possible funding sources which were mentioned included Salix Finance, Cycling Scotland, Carrier bag funds and the Clydesdale Community Fund.
